Jim is a native of Atlanta, growing up in Dunwoody, GA back when it was horse farms. He loves hearing the story his father told about moving the family from Buckhead area in Atlanta to Dunwoody and his mother’s parents telling them, “you are moving her to the Stix!” Attending school locally before shipping off to college first at Texas Christian, he realized how much he loved the great state of Georgia, and came back to earn a Commercial art degree with focus on marketing and advertising at UGA.
In the corporate world, Jim rose to VP of Marketing at a local Sports Marketing firm, then employed his skills as the third person in with a company that raised $27million in VC investments with a pre-IPO evaluation of $420 million on trailing revenues of $1million! Can you say ".Dot Com days"? During that time he becomes the Chief Marketing Officer responsible for the web initiatives and business requirements for clients and oversaw the corporate customer needs and solution selling and serving of fortune 500 clients and traveled extensively. Here he honed his ability to deliver on the "consulting sale", which is more about serving all the needs of each of the business owners invloved in the solution sale.
Raising a young family and wanting to be closer to them, in 2004 he partnered with his brother Grant Wells who had been in local real estate for 16 years, and brought the marketing web solutions and customer solution sale and service expertise to the local real estate market. Jim focused early on market SEO and web solutions, and treating his clients fully like a complete solutions service. He learned early from his brother to treat clients like friends and family. He is very active in his local 12Stone church, leading small groups and active with Habitat for Humanity and the 100 Wells missionary effort in Africa.
As a REALTOR® for 11 years, Jim has seen the complete ups and downs of the market, but has grown every year, and his team ranks in the top #10 in Georgia.
